The decision by the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga to withdraw from the race to the State House was no surprise, Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has said.On Tuesday, Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka pulled out of the race, ordering the IEBC to cancel the fresh election slated for October 26.The opposition leaders said the electoral agency should conduct fresh nominations and hold a fresh election within 90 days. But Governor Kinyanjui dismissed the move, saying Raila sensed defeat after his strongholds 'shifted' to President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party."From Coast, Kisii, Narok to Western, the image of a crumbling house was evident. The demonstrations that had been dubbed national ended up localised in a few areas around Kisumu and isolated parts of Nairobi," Kinyanjui said.He told the former Prime Minister to take a break from politics and organise his party for another trial in 2022."Raila should let Uhuru rule in peace and prepare to face Ruto in 2022," the Governor added.
