Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye (ODM) had to leave the fundraiser's venue early to avoid more confrontation during the event convened to help Oldorko Women Group at Mosiro, Kajiado County.

Nkedianye was forced off the dais after his speech was cut short at Oldorko Secondary School.

He is said to have attended the event uninvited.

The fundraiser had been convened by Jubilee Party's Jonathan Koroine who is the party's flagbearer for the October 26, Mosiro Ward by-election.

Nkedianye reportedly angered the crowd when he urged those in attendance not to vote for Koroine since the government had neglected the county.

"Those who have come to raise funds for you are messengers of doom and cannot be trusted," he said as reported by the Star.

"They will ask for votes and you will never see them after election."

It was at this point that Kajiado West MP MOses Ole Sakuda shouted at him telling the governor to respect other leaders prompting the confrontation.

"Nobody has provoked you to warrant such an attack," he said.
