Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has called upon residents to back his re-election because of his exemplary development record. Speaking to traders in Kwale town during a business and co-operatives leader’s forum, Mvurya reminded residents not to vote for leaders based on their political parties but the projects they have initiated in the region.The governor, who defected to Jubilee from ODM, also told residents that political outfits will not initiate projects in the region, adding that he is ready to continue with his good work."Let me caution you not to be swayed by political parties because parties do not work. The person who will work for you is Mvurya,” said Mvurya, as quoted by the Nation.The county boss further reminded residents that he has been dedicated towards changing their lives since he took over office, adding that he will trounce all his opponents when that time comes.“I have initiated a lot of projects that have created positive change amongst the people of Kwale and thus I am confident of retaining the seat,” he added. Mvurya was accompanied by his deputy Fatuma Achani, Safina Kwekwe (Trade executive), hopefuls Ruga Mshenga (Senator) and Fatuma Tabwara (Woman Rep).
