National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich has assured governors that money meant for counties will soon be disbursed.
He said everything was under control therefore no cause of alarm whatsoever.
"We had some delays in the distribution of the county funds because the Senate had not passed the disbursement schedule bill but since they passed it all will be well," he said in Eldoret town, Friday.
"By next week all the 47 counties will be able to receive their funds.I want to refute claims that the Integrated Financial Management Information System is closed. It is up and running," he added.
He, however, urged Governors to put County funds into good use because embezzlement of public funds will not be tolerated.
"The money is meant to improve the livelihoods of the electorates anyone doing contrary will face the wrath of the law," noted Rotich.
This comes after Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago called up on the National government through the treasury to disburse funds meant for counties.
