Wednesday was a day of jubilation at a city school as Nairobi governor Mike Sonko's daughter Saumu Mbuvi received a heroine's welcome in her charity tour.

Saumu donated geometrical sets to students at the school in Umoja as the Kenya national exams continue.

Taking to her Facebook page, she posted photos of herself at the institution and said she valued the act of giving the little she had to those underprivileged in the society.

‘’Earlier today giving geometrical sets to candidates. Remember, take every day as an opportunity to give in small, but in substantial ways," she said.

"Recognise the little Gives can be bigger than you know, brighter than you think,’’ she added.

Saumu advised the young learners to keep good company and stay obedient to their parents.

She did not however give specific details of the school.
