Speaking in his office this morning, Kigo Njenga said the feud is meant to tarnish the reputation of parliamentarians.

“We cannot allow the cancellation as this would mean no more development in the rural areas,” he said.

The lawmaker added that the Kenyan budget would be affected since CDF is factored in the budget. His opinion comes after the disagreements continue on who should manage the funds.

The leader said that the funds develop local projects and that MPs are never directly involved in disbursing the funds.

He further revealed that they would table a motion in parliament to discuss the disturbing topic.

“We are going to table a motion today in the house to discuss this matter. Governors do not mean well for citizens,” he added.

Njenga noted that a section in the constitution would be amended to allow CDF in the constitution.

“It is true that CDF is not included in the constitution but as lawmakers, we are going to amend the law and include it. Citizens must continue feeling the presence of development in their areas,” he concluded.
