In a bid to find a solution to the ongoing nurses strike, the Council of Governors has met county governments representatives, and others from the Ministry of Health and the Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN).The three institutions discussed ways of jump-starting the impasse of the nurses strike, with the parties identifying key issues that will form the core of the discussion between them in another meeting, scheduled for next week.Governors appreciated the nurses’ union officials for showing good faith in returning to the negotiation table with representatives of county governments.This even as the Kenya Union of Clinical Officers suspended its strike, Friday, to allow job evaluation process,.Representatives of the Clinical Officers met the Salaries and Renumeration Commission (SRC) and Ministry of Health officials, and agreed that to finalise their job descriptions and Job evaluations. Governors affirmed that they will make sure the job evaluation of the Clinical Officers completed next week, to allow smooth running of health services in county public health facilities.
