Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja has opened a free medical camp in partnership with Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) at Kamtonga Shopping Centre.
He urged county residents to come out in large numbers during medical camps for cancer screening being organised by his county government and other partners.
During the event on Saturday, Samboja also challenged DATUzens to register with the NHIF to easily get medical services.
"My administration will invest heavily on better health care services, soon we shall hold a one week medical camp in the county," he said.
On his part, KPA board chair Marseden Madoka said that they will continue working with the county government of Taita Taveta in community development initiatives.
