Following the Supreme Court's decision to uphold President Uhuru Kenyatta's win in the October 26 poll, the council of governors has agreed to work with the Jubilee administration to protect devolution.
On Tuesday, CoG chairman Josphat Nanok issued a statement asking the national government to disburse adequate resources to each of the counties.
Earlier this year the governors had criticised the National Treasury after it refused to release Sh74.7 billion for the 4th quarter beginning April 2017.
NASA and Jubilee governors have also come together to help end the division among Kenyans over this years voting period.
Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Mike Sonko (Nairobi), Ferdinand Waititu (Kiambu), Ali Roba (Mandera), Ali Korane (Garissa) and Wycliffe Oparanya (Kakamenga) were all present.
"We have pledged to initiate dialogue amongst ourselves in order to unite Kenyans and move Kenya forward. We will work together to fight tribal politics because no Kenyan should die because of politics," Mutua said.
Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya added that dialogue will be the only solution to the problems facing Kenyans throughout the country.
