President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto will on 23 April grace the Devolution Camp tournament in Kakamega’s Bukhungu Stadium.
Revealing this development, the Council of Governors posted the message on their Facebook page, saying the tournament will be graced by the two.
The tournament will be used as a tool to promote cohesiveness and bring together the National and County Governments for the improvement of working Intergovernmental relations.
“On 23rd April 2018, we will have a football tournament at Bukhungu Stadium, Kakamega County dubbed #DevolutionCup,” read the post.
The first match will be governors against the senators, with the second match bringing together Cabinet Secretaries and County Assemblies Forum.
The finals will be between the winners of Match 1 and 2.The tournament will be in line with the 5th Devolution Conference, which starts on 24th April-27th at Kakamega High School.
