Speaking when she took the free Mobile medical clinic in Gituro village on the border of Naivasha and Kinangop, Mrs Mbugua said despite a few challenges in the health sector due to doctors’ strike, Nakuru residents had a reason to smile since she has been able to reach thousands of patients through the mobile clinic especially those who cannot make it to hospital .

“The mobile clinic is free of charge and able to help address all diseases including cancer which we want to address” she said.

The governor's wife called on the residents of Nakuru and Kenyans at large to come out and know their health status frequently including cancer which is affecting many.

She, however, noted that if identified early, cancer can be treated.

“The cancer disease, you cannot know that you have unless you visit hospital. So let us visit this units and more so the Mobile clinic to ensure we know our health status” she said.

On matters of politics, Mrs Mbugua appealed to Nakuru residents and Kenyans at large to shun politicians who are out to divide them and vote in leaders who are ready to transform lives.

She also distributed sanitary towels to women and girls in Naivasha sub county as a means to ensure the girl child remains in school without challenges.
