Governors and their respective deputies are set to undergo a five day induction seminar in Mombasa to strengthen devolution.
The Council of Governors communication director Andrew Teyje says the conference will start on 2nd and end on 6th of October and will be held at the Sarova Whitesands.
He also stated the seminar is meant to primarily orient the 25 newly elected governors and their deputies on how to run the devolved system of government. The previous governors will also be assessed in terms of their successes and failures.
The 22 re-elected will share their experiences of their first term in office.
This year’s theme will be “better governance and accountability for the ultimate devolution dividends to all Kenyans.”
