A section of Kiamumbi residents in Kiambu County have raised concerns over a group of investors whom they claim are 'fake' and want to grab their land.
Speaking to Journalists yesterday, the residents said that they have been living in the area for more than 10 years and have genuine title deeds.
They also condemned the Kiamumbi Police Station officers whom they claim are being used by the said investors to meet their selfish needs.
"We want the National Land Commission to probe the matter because we hear these investors are telling people to pay Sh100,000 for plots,” said John Maina, a resident.
They claim the investors came with five surveyors to see the land backed by Kiamumbi Police officers on Monday.
"They were about ten people and when we asked them what they wanted they were rude and told us to go away,” said Stephene Kinyanjui, a resident.
"Things might not turn out well because we won't allow conmen to grab land that we genuinely own,” added Kariuki Muiruri.
Efforts to seek a comment from Kiamumbi OCS were futile as he was said to be away.
