An 80 -year old granny was one of the 2000 graduates on Friday at St. Paul's University.Janet Sills graduated with a masters degree in Community Development.

She revealed that when she joined the institution, many students and lecturers were mesmerized thinking she was in the wrong place.They would ask odd questions like do you know where you are?, what are you up to?"During the first week, I didn't write notes, I was wondering what they were writing about," said Silla.She was born in Itetani village, Makueni county.Silla joined Kamagambo Teachers training college in Nyanza in 1958 and was later posted to Karura SDA primary school.She was later employed by the Kenya postal as a telephone operator.However, she quit her job in 1971 to venture into self-employment.Janet later joined Bungema university, Uganda where she graduated with a degree in Social work and counseling.She argued young to get back school and further their studies.During the 26th graduation ceremony that was held in the main campus at Limuru'
