Kisumu county youths have been challenged to vie for elective posts for future leadership growth.
Kisumu County voice spokesperson Audi Ogada speaking today at a Kisumu hotel challenged youths to vie for elective posts as future leadership relied on them and they needed to keep it grow.
She further asked leaders to nurture youth’s leadership ambition by funding them.
Audi noted that for future leadership to grow the only way was to give civic education to the youths, through encouragement and convening leadership trainings.
“We need to help instill leadership skills in the youths by training and educating them on the essence of proper and future leadership skills,” said Audi.
By educating them they will have sense of self esteem and self worth hence further potential leaders added Audi.
Nominated MCA Caroline Ogot also speaking at the event encouraged young leadership, noting that youths needed to embrace leadership as early as their age.
She noted that leadership was nurtured, some are in born others are made challenging youths to take the mantle by showing they can be future leaders through the present.
