Jubilee Nairobi losers in last month’s elections have vowed to campaign for President Uhuru to ensure he gets more votes in the repeat poll slated for October 17.

The group according to the Standard has formed an association as it seeks to deliver victory for Uhuru.

The members include former Nairobi MCAs, independent candidates and senatorial aspirants who ran on Jubilee tickets in the August 8 polls.

"Raila Odinga managed to get more votes than President Uhuru Kenyatta in Nairobi in the just-concluded elections. This time, we want to make sure that the president wins with a big margin,” said acting chair Hashim Kamau on Tuesday.

According to the IEBC reuslts, Raila gannered 834, 032 votes while Uhuru got 793, 065.

The former minority chief whip said the members will begin door-to-door campaigns across the city to ensure an Uhuru win.
