An association designed to fight for women journalists in Kenya has come out strongly against the harassment of female journalists in the country. According to Marceline Nyambala, executive director of the Association of Media Women of Kenya (Amwik), said that the stalking, abuses, and threats are the commonplace forms of digital harassment.''This digital harassment forces women to be wary of using social media and in some cases to leave work. This is unacceptable. Digital harassment has altered how women interact online,'' Ms. Nyambala said yesterday. She spoke in Nairobi during a meeting to assess the harassment endured by women online.
