There was a rare scenery in Kisumu yesterday when supporters of the National Super Alliance came out to help GSU officers pull their water canon which had stuck in the mud.
The officers found themselves in this situation when their vehicle veered off the road and landed in mud in Milimani Estate, Kisumu.
This led to the water canon developing a mechanical problem rendering the officers who had spent a better part of the day dispersing demonstrators helpless.
According to reports, the officers were first hostile to the locals as they did not want them to help but relented when it became difficult for them.
One of the locals who is a mechanic helped the fix the hitch without charging even a shilling.
