General Service Unit (GSU) have attributed winning of the men’s Kenya Volleyball Federation national title over the weekend to the teams consistency throughout the season.

According to the team’s head coach Moses Epoloto their form this season was a key part in GSU reclaiming the title.

This comes as GSU managed to defeat their bitter rivals Kenya Prisons and maintaining the current unbeaten streak.

“Finally our hard work has paid off. For us it has been about working hard to make the team click. We are happy to get the national title,” Epoloto said.

GSU put on a strong performance throughout the three-day playoffs which took place at the Makande Gymnasium in Mombasa.

The highlight for the team came as they managed to dethrone 2016 winners Kenya Prisons 3-1 on Saturday.

“After losing the title to Prisons, we embarked on a journey to rebuild,” Epoloto added.
