Kabogo alleges  that some politicians eyeing various political seats in the county are bribing voters.

Speaking during the Jamhuri day celebrations at Ndumberi grounds in Kiambu on Monday, Kabogo asked the IEBC to tame such politicians.

“It is unfortunate that some politicians are already dishing out money and bribing voters to sway their decisions in the 2017 elections,” he said.

Kabogo asked the IEBC to guarantee fair competition in the forthcoming 2017 polls. The Kiambu governor who is seeking re-election in 2017 urged locals not to be bribed.

“Don’t accept money that is being given by selfish politicians who have no agenda,” he said.

At the same time, Kabogo also asked the IEBC to take action against politicians allegedly being funded by questionable foreign NGOs and companies.

Kabogo claims that some aspirants eyeing various seats in the county are being funded by NGOs and foreign companies.

He said that the IEBC has to put in place measures that will guarantee free, fair and transparent 2017 general elections.

Kabogo is seeking re-election but faces stiff competition from Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu, real estate tycoon David Gakuyo, businesswoman Njoki Gathendu and Agriculture consultant James Nyoro.

Last week Kabogo lost a case where he had petitioned Waititu’s academic qualifications. Kabogo claimed that Waititu has no academic qualification to hold public office.

The court ruled that it had no jurisdiction to hear the case saying that the matter can be pursued by other agencies established by the constitution.
