Guardians of orphans and vulnerable children from Mavoko sub county who sat for this years KCPE examinations have been urged to apply for the Equity Bank's wings to fly scholarship.
Addressing the press in Athi River town on Tuesday, Bishop Nicholas Muli of Champion of Christ Temple Church said that those who excel in the examinations should not idle at home due to lack of school fees.
"I am in the committee of Equity's Wings to Fly Scholarship Program in Mavoko therefore, no needy child should stay at home after excelling in this year's KCPE due to lack of school fees," said Muli.
Muli said that these guardians should check with Equity Bank offices for application forms for the programme once the results are out.
He said that the program is the best initiative in the region because it offers education to beneficiaries throughout their student lives from form 1 to 4 with the possibility of also sorting out educational charges at tertiary levels.
Muli disclosed that the fund targeted orphans and vulnerable children including those with parents living with HIV/AIDS.
He said that the application forms were also available at the region's sub county education offices free of charge for those who could not get to Equity banks for them.
