Nyamira County governor John Nyagarama has been asked to stop lying on the number of kilometers of roads constructed in the county.
Gubernatorial aspirant Charles Mochama, speaking to this reporter, accused the governor of lying over the completed road projects in the county.
“Let the governor be frank to the people, roads are not passable during this time of rain, people are suffering, tea farmers are having their produce perishing in the buying centres and then the governor tells us that he has completed several kilometers,“ Mochama said.
“People who are surrounding Nyagarama have companies which they use to siphon money starting right from the procurement departments. There are no single fully completed projects and yet some projects are allocated a lot of money. Where does the money go,” Mochama said.
“Let the people of Nyamira not be blackmailed, we need transformation in Nyamira and we should have been far by now if we had a good development minded governor,” Mocham added.
The Nyamira County governor has been questioned severally over incomplete projects and some ghost projects.
