A group of unknown people pulled down a billboard bearing a Christmas message to Uasin Gishu residents by gubernatorial hopeful Dr Edward Serem on Wednesday night.

The billboard which was erected along Uganda Road was allegedly destroyed by county askaris, under the orders of Governor Jackson Mandago. 

Dr Serem has condemned the act, describing it as "unfortunate and malicious."

“The billboard carried a message of goodwill during the festive season for Uasin Gishu residents and it is quite unfortunate that some people decided to pull it down at night,” he said.
