The killing of two children in Nyamira by their father is a clear indication that there is important of guiding and counselling departments in our families.
The 25 year old man butchered his two children after having quarrels with his wife whom he had separated from 2 weeks ago.
In most cases, Kenyans do not learn from mistakes, for instance this has been happening across the country but nothing has been done to curb this menace.
According to the residents, they have cursed the incident by urging the government and other stakeholders to strengthen guidance and counselling departments.
Led by Fridah Monyangi from Omosocho in Kisii County she said that it was wild for the father to turn hostile to his own children even if he had quarrelled with his wife.
Fridah said that through the Nyumba Kumi initiative, residents need to be sensitised on how to curb the more so when there is domestic violence.
"We need to strengthen guiding and counselling departments so that we can curb this menace across the country," she said.
"If we were to have measures n place which will help us to curb this menace we are sure such incidents be curbed," stated Fridah.
