Rarieda lawmaker Fred Gumbo has been accused hiring goons who disrupted a rally by NASA leader Raila Odinga during a rally in Siaya over the weekend.
The claims were fronted by the Rarida business community have said.
They told the press at Aram market on Thursday that MP Nicholas Gumbo was not to blame for the chaos that erupted.
Raila, who is NASA flag bearer, was forced to cut short his tour of Rarieda after youths allied to ODM and Independents clashed
The group further claimed that the goods used a car with foreign registration number UAW 682C.
Led by chairman Onyango Omolo and executive secretary William Odongo, they said the perpetrators instigated the chaos by accosting boda boda operators.
The riders were reportedly attacked with whips, machetes and clubs for preventing the crowd from tearing down Gumbo's banner
