Rarieda member of parliament Fred Gumbo has been called upon to publicly apologise to NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga.
This is after chaos erupted in Rarieda on Monday during a Raila campaign rally, where youth allied to ODM nad Gumbo clashed.
Gumbo is eying the Siaya gubernatorial seat as an independent candidate after losing ODM nominations.
Alego Usonga ODM chairman Oruenjo Umidha demanded a public apology from the legislator.
"Our youths are supposed to be empowered, not to be taken for granted to cause violence during campaigns."
Sam Hawala, ODM candidate for Siaya Township ward, also advocated for peaceful campaigns from any political divide.
"Our party leader was neither a returning officer nor a clerk during the nominations. Let those who lost in the party primaries sell their policies rather than investing in violence," Hawala added.
