Police floored three gunmen in Nakuru on Thursday afternoon.
The three were killed in a dramatic shoot out that saw residents scamper for safety after gunshots rained the town.
The first two robbers were floored outside hotel Waterbuck.
The third one was felled by a bullet as he engaged police in a cat and mouse game trying to fled.
He rushed into building ducking the bullets. A sharp shooter got him in a garage where he took shield from the spray of bullets.
Nakuru county police commander Hassan Barua said the three were plotting to steal from a trader carrying cash from Nakuru to Njoro.
Police recovered an AK 47, a Ceska pistol and several rounds of ammunition.
