Two gunmen stormed Wajir's Abaqkorey High School on Tuesday morning and opened fire on candidates sitting their KCSE exams.

Police officers who were manning the station during the History and Government paper exchanged fire with the gunmen who later escaped.

According to the Sta, police have said that no one was injured in the incident that occurred at around 11.00am.

Hasabwein police boss Caleb Wesa has confirmed the incident and said that police have launched a manhunt for the men.

The candidates, however continued with their paper after being evacuated to Abaqkorey primary school and being assured of their safety.
