There was drama at Weteithie, Kiambu County, on Tuesday after rowdy youths chased away President Uhuru Kenyatta’s cousin.

The drama ensued after the politician reportedly refused to give the youths handouts despite them ‘waiting for her from morning’.

Kiambu County Woman Representative, who is Uhuru’s cousin, was whisked away by her security detail to avoid the irate residents.

Nyokabi was in the area to distribute bursary cheques.

AP officers who had accompanied Weteithie AP commandant to the function were forced to cock their guns to scare the furious youths who were banging the MPs car demanding she ‘sorts them out’.

After the security detail whisked her away, the crowd jeered her and started chanting her opponent’s slogan.

“We will vote for Gathoni wa Muchomba, we didn’t even know you. We just voted because we were told you are Uhuru’s cousin,” a resident was heard shouting.
