[Photo/MN]Rowdy youth barricaded Migori bridge, Tuesday night, blocking vehicles ferrying election materials from accessing various regions.As at 11pm, gunshots would be heard in Migori town as youth protested, preventing election materials from being distributed to different, polling stations, despite tactical moves by the police and IEBC officials, to try and sneak them at night.The rowdy youth blocked access roads in Migori county, using tree logs, twigs, stones amongst others, paralyzing transport operations.They engaged the police in running battles, especially after they started lighting bonfires in the middle of the roads, forcing the officers to lob teargas and fire in the air to disperse them.The incident which started during the day, came hours after two residents were shot by police in Migori town as distribution exercise of ballot materials to constituencies, was paralysed.The Other six constituencies were affected, except for Kuria East and Kuria West, where the process proceeded smoothly.NASA vowed to ensure no election takes place especially in its support bases, even the government insisted that the Thursday poll would go on.
