Upon the eviction of Ford-K boss Moses Wetang'ula, Kisii leaders openly chided the NASA leader Raila Odinga for failing to stand by Wetangula leading to a coup to ouster him from office as the Senate Minority Leader.
West Mogirango MP Vincent Mogaka, accused ODM of the ouster and urged NASA affliates to forge ahead without the Orange party.
While addressing journalists on Wednesday, Mogaka asked the veteran ODM leader Raila to intervene and reinstate Wetangula in his position by asking Orengo to decline the nomination.
“As Ford Kenya party, we are seriously considering our union with ODM. We saw this coming when Raila went to Uhuru Park to be sworn in without involving the other players.” He said.
Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka, blamed the senate members for evicting Wetangula. He also said that Raila was involved in the coup though he played it silent.
"The same person you evict today will be the same person you will need tomorrow to aid you in this political career." Onyonka said.
The Ford-K boss was evicted from office on Tuesday by the debate members and replaced him with the senator of Siaya county James Orengo.
However, Wetang'ula has not shown signs of evacuating the office. Addressing journalists, he said that he was equal to other partners in the coalition.
“I cannot be wished away in NASA. I was never invited to the coalition…I am an equal partner,” said Wetang'ula.
Kalonzo Musyoka, the wiper party leader was displeased by Wetang'ula's eviction and asked Orengo to step down so that he does not become the reason of NASA dissociation.
"We don't have to get to that. I want to call upon my friend Jim Orengo to decline this nomination so that he doesn't go down as the person who collapsed NASA," Kalonzo said.
