A section of leaders from Gusii region have condemned corruption in the Jubilee government.
The leaders led by Bobasi MP Innocent Obiri said the Jubilee government should not allow government officers to walk free after stealing public funds.
“It is sad that civil servants and other cartels are misusing public resources by stealing money from government to build their own houses, buy cars while Kenyans are subjected to paying huge taxes,” he said.
Obiri said Gusii leaders will not be left behind in the war against graft.
“As leaders from Gusii region we will not condone corruption. We are behind President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto to kick out corrupt officials from government,” he noted.
He urged elected leaders from the region to ensure they utilize public funds well to initiate and launch various projects in the region to benefit locals.
The lawmaker welcomed the handshake between Uhuru and Raila saying it is good for the unity of this country.
