Kitutu Chache South Member of parliament Richard Onyoka has said that Gusii community is the second largest in Kenya in terms of paying revenue tax hence they should be considered in the national cake.

Addressing residents on Friday at Otamba girls secondary school during the fundraising in aid of helping the construction in the school, Onyoka said the Abagusii community contributes much in economy of the country hence the national government should consider it during the sharing of the national cake

“The Abagusii community is the second largest in terms of paying taxes hence we need to be considered when the national Cake is being shared,” Onyoka said.

The lawmaker said that the community can only get the share if she comes together and talk in one voice more so having one political party.

“The achievements of getting the share of the Cake is possible if we come together, that’s why we have started uniting the community to achieve our goals,” he added.

In addition, he challenged residents, not to behave like marginalised community but come up with solutions which will help them to benefit.

"Most of our people vie for various seats and get defeated because of disunity; We need to come together so that we can talk in one voice," he added.
