A section of women and youth leaders drawn from Kisii County have vowed to vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta in October 26 repeat presidential polls.
Speaking while meeting the first lady Margret Kenyatta on Sunday the women in harmony vowed to vote and launch a house to house campaign in the remaining days.
Led by Doris Aburi the women leaders said they the president has been able to deliver his promises in the few years he has been in office and they have no reason of not voting for him.
“We as women from Gusii land for the last few months had embarked in campaigning for Uhuru and we won’t stop until he wins come 26 October,” said Aburi.
She said empowering of the youth and women is a key priority of the jubilee government and it therefore deserves their full support in the election.
