According to a lobby group Rigena for Human Rights Watch Dog, GWASCO has failed to fix sewage problem because of unqualified workers.The group chairman Samson Osoro on Monday threatened to go to court to have all GWASCO workers sackedOsoro said Kisii residents have suffered following the contamination of water after sewage pipes broke."As by the investigation we have done, GWASCO workers don't possess skills to fix problems once they arise. For this reason, I will go to court to have GWASCO workers sent home for new and qualified workers to be given the opportunity to serve Kisii residents," he stated.He said GWASCO has failed to offer residents with a permanent solution to water contamination in the county rivers."Residents are in fear of contradicting diseases from dirty water. It is time for the residents to get clean water by sending lazy and unqualified workers home," he said.Osoro challenged Kisii County government health officials to be on high alert to prevent the outbreak of diseases associated with dirty water such as typhoid.He asked residents to boil water before drinking.
