[Photo|Haki Africa]Haki Africa held a security forum at Kadzandani in Bamburi area, Mombasa.Led by Toppy Juma, the organisation's Mombasa County field Coordinator, the event dubbed 'Community peace cafe' saw women leaders in the area particularly the Nyumba Kumi initiative elders, village elders, area chief and community policing agent seat together in the same platform with state security agents such as OCPD Kisauni Sub-county and his senior deputies, the area assistant county commissioner and area ward administrator attend.The participants discussed possible collaboration between the two parties on matters of security and accountability in promoting peaceful coexistence and at the same time upholding human rights. A clear channel of communication was discussed and agreed upon.
