Nakuru County is not happy Mr President!
That you named a whole 21 Cabinet secretary an dnot even one man or woman was from Nakuru has rubbed the populous county the wrong way.
After President Uhuru Kenyatta unveiled his whole cabinet, a social media user remembered a t-shirt Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko wore during a national prayer rally at Afraha stadium.
The t-shirt boldly read: Hapa Ni Maombi Tu!
The social media user said that the president and his deputy have reduced Nakuru to just araying ground and once they get into power, they forget it.
It did not pass many that Uhuru and Ruto first union was in Nakuru just before the 2013 election where The National Alliance (TNA) and the United Rpublican Party (URP) came together.
When Uhuru and Ruto went into power, there was no one from Nakuru in their cabinet.
The same has happened in his second term.Social media pages such as the active Elburgon na Maendeleo were awash with compalints.
"With the overwhelming votes that Uhuruto got in Nakuru county, we deserve more than just a comptroller of the State House," Kiiru Waithaka posted.
Daudi Maina blamed Nakuru leaders after Uhuru left out the region in the appointments which are largely seen as rewards to political support.
"Watu wa Nakuru msilie ati hamjapata CS! Lack of unity is costing us. The problem is not Kikuyus from Central but lack of unity among those in the Rift Valley. We saw Mt Kenya leaders coming together to bargain for positions, hapa kwetu ni siasa za chuki tu na utengano," Maina posted in the group.
Other users threatened to dump Uhuruto.
"I'm joining Kanu," Njeshstrong Waithaka posted.
