National soccer ladies team Harambee Starlets is scheduled to start its residential camp on Sunday at Machakos County stadium ahead of its international friendly match against Lynch Burg FC from USA. [Photo/courtesy]The friendly match will be staged on Thursday next week at the same venue.It will be the first friendly match for the team, in the aftermath of a maiden appearance at the Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) tournament that was staged in Limbe Cameroon in 2016.During the championship, they were eliminated in the group stages after losing 4-0 to Nigeria in their last group match.The Jackline Akoth charges to the friendly match includes forward Neddy Atieno, Pauline Atieno former national ladies under 20 goalkeeper Naomi Kinanga, Mombasa Youth Olympic duo of Gererder Akinyi and Elizabeth Katungwa, midfielders Caroline Anyango, Cheris Avilia, Corazone Aquino, strikers Mary Kinuthia and Esse Akida among others.This friendly match will be used as a build up to the upcoming international friendly match against Jordan on September this year.
