Harambee Stars' exemplary win in the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (Cecafa) Senior Challenge Cup has been rewarded.

The Stars have now moved a place up in the latest Fifa rankings, sitting in position 105 globally and 25th in African.

The team has amassed 317 points and is second in the region behind neighbors Uganda.

Uganda moved up two places to 73rd globally, while occupying position 15 on the continent.

Rwanda, Sudan, Ethiopia, Burundi, and Tanzania hold position three, four, five, six and seven respectively in the region.

Egypt, having performed well in the world cup qualifiers is in the third position in Africa, behind Senegal and Tunisia, while DDRC is fifth.

world champions Germany remained top followed by Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, and Belgium.
