Harambee Stars head coach Paul Put has faulted his striking line for their goalless draw against Zanzibar in the Cecafa group A match played on Saturday at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

Stars dominated the match in possession but came out with no goal thanks to a solid Zanzibari defence.

In a post-match interview, the Belgian challenged his attackers to become more clinical in front of goal.

"We had very good chances in the first half and we gave a lot but we could not convert the opportunities we got. In the second half we couldn’t do as much as we did in the first half but we had two good chances in the second half but we didn't utilise them," he said.

"Strikers need a little bit of luck on their side because we create enough chances but we are not winning. If you cannot score, you cannot win," he added.

Stars will next play Tanzania's Kilimanjaro Stars and will have to win to automatically qualify for the semis.
