Nothing gives a coach peace than supporting team members, who will determine his success or failure.
It is the case with the new Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne, who has received backing key players as he sets to kick off his time as the head coach.
Gor Mahia Captain Harun Shakava and Midfielder Francis Kahata have backed the national team coach, saying they look forward to working together.
Speaking ahead of their first friendly match against Swaziland, the two said they would need the fans behind them as well in order to win.
“I hope we will win Friday’s game against Swaziland. We are asking our fans to come out and support us as we play the first game under our new coach,” Shakava told Football Kenya Federation (FKF) on Thursday in Nairobi.
“We have a new technical bench, we have some new players and training has been fine. He has come with different things and we are eager to learn from him because it’s for the benefit of the team.
“We have games on Friday and Monday and we appeal to the fans for their support,” Kahata stressed.
Kenya will play their second friendly match Swaziland before playing Ghana in a Cup of Nations qualifier.
