Two Harambee Stars defenders who recently helped the team bag the regional Cecafa Senior Challenge are now staring at a crisis following a sharp rift between them an parent club AFC Leopards.

Dennis Sikhayi and Duncan Otieno reportedly handed in their transfer request to the thirteen times Kenya Premier League champions in a bid to force their way to reigning champions Gor Mahia.

However, the move has reportedly not gone down well with the club's management who have now demanded an apology from the two 'rebels' in addition to setting up a collosal amount on their release clause.

According to one of the officials,Leopards now wants the duo to apologize and hopefully withdraw the requests saying they are not going to honour them.

"We have asked both players to apologize in writing. We have also categorically told them they will not be allowed to leave. We have already forwarded their names to Caf and we will not give in to their demands," said an official to local sports website Goal.com.

The club has reportedly slapped a Ksh 10 million price tag on Sikhayi who still has one year contract with Ingwe.

The transfer of players between the two Kenyan giants who have dominated the country's football history for decades is always a frosty affair with each side playing hard ball with their best.
