The Kenya National Football team Harambee Stars is scheduled to battle Comoros Islands in an international friendly match on March 23.
The fixture is aimed at enhancing the team's preparation for 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament and will be played at Rabat, Morocco.
The match which has been announced by Comoros Football Federation will also be used by Harambee Stars to increase its current FIFA ranking.
This comes barely a day after the resignation of the stars Head Coach Paul Put who left the team due to personal reasons.
The mantle of guiding the team was officially handed to Assistant Coach Stanley Okumbi and his first task will be to manage it in the friendly.
However, Federation of Kenya Football(FKF) said that they are on course to find a new Coach.
Mr. Put guided the team to CECAFA Cup victory last year after defeating Zanzibar 3-2 on post-match penalty shootout.
Kenya will play against Ghana on September 23 this year in AFCON qualifier.
The team is currently in the 130th position and they will be looking to at least crush Comoros for them to go up the ranking.
Last year, the team suffered the first defeat in their opening fixture of AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone where they lost 2-1 away.
