Nairobi and Machakos governors Mike Sonko and Alfred Mutua have promised Harambee Stars Sh2million in case they win the ongoing Cecafa tonournament.Harambee stars once again were held to a 0-0 draw with Zanzibar in a match played at the Kenyatta stadium in Machakos after another draw with Libya on a similar scoreline.
The two governors made the pleged after watching the match. "Harambee stars draw 0-0 with Zanzibar in the on going #CecafaKE2017 tournament preliminaries. However in case our team clinches the trophy they will bag 2,000,000/= courtesy of myself and Governor Mutua," Sonko tweeted.
Harambee stars who won 2-0 against Rwanda are now second places in Group A standings with 5points in which Zanzibar leads the with 7 points.
