Football Kenya Federation is in the process of organizing an international friendly match between Harambee Stars a European national team.

The game is set to be played in August.

FKF president Nick Mwendwa while making the relevations  noted that noted that the team will play a West African team before taking on Sierra Leone and another West African team in preparation for CHAN.

"After that [Malawi game], we are going to play another game in May for CHAN, so every month we are seeking to engage a friendly for CHAN, home and away. After that [the game in May] we are going to play a game before Sierra Leone in West Africa and then in August our intention is to play in Europe.Engage two or one UEFA side and that is being worked on. So there is a deliberate plan," said Mwendwa.

The team which consists of local-based players is currently preparing for Malawi friendly match that will be played on Tuesday 18 April 2017 at the Machakos Stadium.
