The Kenya national team, Harambee Stars has registered a slight improvement in the March 2018 Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) rankings, moving up a position higher; from position 106 to position 105 globally.

this is the same position it held in January, before dropping to 106 in February.

Neighbors Uganda are ranked 78th while Tanzania are in the 148th position globally.

Kenya is ranked at position 25 on the continent. 

Stars will have a chance to make a significant improvement in the world table later on this month when they take on Comoros and Central African Republic (CAR) in two international friendly matches slated for March 24 and 27.  

The friendly matches will be played in Morocco, with the next two opponents placed below Kenya in the FIFA rankings, occupying positions 123 and 132 respectively.

Tunisia is the best-ranked team in Africa, followed by Senegal, DR Congo, Morocco and Egypt. 

World Champions Germany, five-time World Champions Brazil, European Champions Portugal, Argentina and Belgium round up the top five positions in the world.

FIFA rankings are released mid every month and are used by football stakeholders to gauge the strengths and weaknesses of various football nations in the world.
