Football Kenya Federation President Nick Mwendwa has said that Technical Director Andreas Spiers will leave at the expiry of his contract.
Spiers signed the contract two years ago and has been in charge of the junior teams for the past two years.
Mwendwa pointed out a financial constraint that the federation was going through and that they can no lomger afford his services for an extended contract.
"We have challenges on the financial front and it was decided that we part ways. We are happy with his work for the time he has been here and wish him well," Mwendwa said.
The Federation has been hit with a number of scandals in the past that has led to top coaches walking away while siting frustrations with the payment mode employed by the federation.
Embezzlement of funds has seen the football body lose millions in cash. Such was partly the reason for the bans imposed by Fifa in June 2004 and October 2006.
In 2009, coach Antoine Hey refused to travel with the squad to play a match against Guinea after the body failed to pay him on time with his salaries and other bonuses amounting to Sh6,300,000.
Henri Michel also walked out on his contract after the federation failed to pay him in excess of Sh1.2 million arrears.
Spiers has been behind the renovation and transformation of the national youth set up as well as scouting.
