National soccer side Harambee Stars has been urged to use the home advantage and bag this year's Cecafa tourney to be staged in the country starting December 3.
Soafapaka technical director Martin Ndagano espressed his confidence in the 25-man squad to replicate the 2015 heroics when Kenya dispatched Sudan 2-0 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos to win the regional tourney.
Ndagano on Wednesday told a local sports website that even though none of his Sofapaka stars earned a national call up,he had faith in the team as constituted.
"Although no Sofapaka player was is involved in the current squad,I believe the selected players have the pedigree to help Harambee Stars win the title on home soil.A perfect start in their opening match will give the players the much needed confidence in subsequent fixtures", Ndagano told Futaa.com
The Paul Put charges takes on a tricky Amavubi of Rwanda in their opening match to be played at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on December 3.
