CECAFA has announced the list of teams as well as their pools ahead of the highly anticipated tournament set to take place in December.

Kenya's Harambee Stars have been placed in group A with Tanzania, Rwanda, Libya and Zanzibar.

The Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup is set to take place from December 3-17.

As a result Kenya and the rest of the teams in their group will be based in Kisumu, while Uganda, Burundi, Ethiopia, South Sudan and Zimbabwe who are in group B will be based in Kakamega.

 Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega, Kisumu County Stadium, and the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru have been selected as the venues for the event with Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarsani  and the Mumias Complex will serve as alternative should there be bad weather.

The Harambee Stars last won the tournament in 2013 in Nairobi but will be looking to reclaim their former glory in this years tournament.
