Harambee Stars has been pooled alongside African giants, Ghana, in the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Stanly Okumbi-led side, which last played in the continental battle 13 years ago face the Black Stars alongside Ethiopia and Sierra Leon in group F.
Stars will fancy their chances of qualifying for the tournament, with Ghana considered favourites to clinch top spot, which will also see them book a spot in the 2019 showpiece.
Kenya failed to make it to the 2017 tournament, which kicks off tomorrow, Saturday in Gabon, after a disastrous performance.
Kenya’s opponents, Ghana are in group C in Gabon’s tourney alongside Uganda, Mali, and Egypt, which is considered a tricky group by many pundits.
Stars have improved greatly in the recent past under the tutelage of Okumbi, and this was clear for all as the team climbed up two places in the latest Fifa ranking released on Thursday by the global governing body.
